WHAT'S INCLUDED

This all-in-one blend of Malt Extract and Agar Agar Powder creates the perfect medium for culturing mushrooms in petri dishes and test tubes.

This blend is supercharged with pharmaceutical grade peptone, increasing mycelial growth speed and improving jump off rates 💪

This is the same MEA+ Powder we use in the Little Acre labs, and is an extremely high quality product.

General instructions are included on the package and listed below.

We've packaged this up in a resealable 150g pouch for convenience and storage.

INSTRUCTIONS

To make 500ml of agar liquid which will pour approximately 20 petri dish plates:

  1. Boil water and pour 500ml into a glass jar or beaker.
  2. Mix 30g of MEA+ powder into the hot water. Stir to ensure the mix is fully dissolved and homogenous.
  3. Pour liquid into a jar with a lid, ensuring it is appropriate for use in a pressure cooker.
  4. Cook the agar liquid for 30 minutes once the pressure has reached 15 psi.
  5. Let the liquid cool inside the vessel for approximately 30 minutes prior to pouring petri dish plates. Pour plates in front of a laminar flow hood to prevent contamination.
